In the meantime here is a teaser…
Alenia:
I made it.
A Commoner!
To the Eaker University, stocked with libraries of books where I can study Healing amongst the Nobles.
I must remember to keep my head down and my mouth shut.
I don’t need to make friends, I just need to make sure I don’t annoy any Gypsies, pass my subjects, and avoid any Royalty at all costs.
With my past, I took a big gamble coming here but I won’t trade anything for my education and a secure future for me and my mother.
Not even for a chance to heal the Queen.
No, I cannot.
Not even if Crown Prince Dylantian himself asks me.
Because you know, I can’t trust him.
A Prince always lies.
Dylantian:
I have already passed my exams, so this final year at University should be my year to relax.
Tell that to my ladyfriend Merienna who is kissing other people while I am at Eaker.
And to the First-Year Commoner accusing me of lying and being lazy.
I would not be so annoyed at the First-Year if she was not so dangerously smart.
And a Healer.
Of course, Alenia would hold the information that Uncle and Father are keeping from me about Mother illness.
And if I am right, she might be the key to healing her as well.
If I can convince Alenia to work with me that is.
I promise I will be civil.
Or maybe she will get what she expects that a Prince always lies.
